Overview
App Popular is Banco Popular Dominicano's flagship mobile app — one of the most widely used banking platforms in the Dominican Republic. The app gives clients full control of their finances from their phone, eliminating the need to visit a branch for everyday banking needs.
Clients can check balances, move money, make every type of transaction and reclamation, and manage their account configurations — all through a secure, stable mobile experience on both iOS and Android.
My Role
As Tech Lead of an Agile team, I'm involved in the full software lifecycle of every feature we ship.
Define and scope features based on product and business needs, producing technical documentation that minimizes risk before development begins.
Design the data architecture required for each feature, aligned with client needs and backend capabilities.
Participate in UX/UI decisions based on current backend structure, ensuring what gets designed can actually be built.
Track features from conception through backend service readiness, with all security controls in place.
Own deployment across Development, QA, and Production environments.
